Histone genes have the following features
    a) no introns
    b) the genes are arranged in tandem arrays with one copy of each gene per group
    c) the mRNAs have no polyA tail.
What explanation can be offered for these properties ]

      Histone H2A
      Histone H2B
      Histone H3
      Histone H4
ويلف الدي ان اي عليهم لفتين وهذا التركيب يطلق عليه اسم نيوكليوسوم Nucleosomes

the answer for first part "a"

the sours is from this book " the cell"
Introns are present in most genes of complex eukaryotes, although they are not universal. Almost all histone genes, for example, lack introns, so introns are clearly not required for gene function in eukaryotic cells. In addition, introns are not found in most genes of simple eukaryotes, such as yeasts. Conversely, introns are present in rare genes of prokaryotes. The presence or absence of introns is therefore not an absolute distinction between prokaryotic and eukaryotic genes, although introns are much more prevalent in higher eukaryotes (both plants and animals), where they account for a substantial amount of total genomic DNA.

the answer for second part "b"

the sours is from this book " Modern Genetic Analysis"

Finally, the genes for histones are arranged in tandem arrays in some species (Figure 12-4). For histone arrays, as for the other arrays of tandem repeats, the multiple copies are identical. One might expect that mutation would lead to divergence between the copies, but there seems to be a mechanism for maintaining constancy across the members of the array.

the answer for second part "c"

حاولي تستنتجي السبب من المقالتين :

              ==============

              المقاله الثانية:

tages in the processing of an mRNA transcribed from a gene of a eukaryote. (a) Genetic data are transcribed into an RNA copy. (b) The copy is modified with a cap at the 5 end and a poly-A tail at the 3 end. (c) The exons are spliced together. The mature mRNA then passes to the cytoplasm, where it is translated into protein.
residues are degraded. It actually takes quite some time for the poly-A tail to be completely lost, and during this time the protein coding portion of the mRNA remains intact. Without the poly-A tail, however, the exonucleases would rapidly degrade into the protein coding portion of the mRNA. An exception to the poly-A strategy is seen in the mRNA for histones, proteins that wrap deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) into chromosomes. Instead of poly-A, histone mRNA uses a much smaller structure that is regulated by factors present during DNA synthesis.
