yes some patients when they make the HCV IgG test and the reading with near the cutoff they take cortisone just to hide this small reading which is just above the cutoff foe example the cutoff was 1 and the reading was 2 sometimes if he take cortisone for several days before the official test it can turn negative like 0.9
