    Trepanoma Pallidum Haemagglutination Assay >>> specific

    بعدما فحصنا العينه >> بـــ RPR

    Rapid Plasma Ragion >> non-specific

    Rapid Plasma Reagine ---
    The term "reagin" means that this test does not look for antibodies against the actual bacteria, but rather for antibodies against substances released by cells when they are damaged by bacteria (T. pallidum

    So
    A negative RPR test result is considered normal.
    However False-negatives may occur in persons with early- and late-stage syphilis. More testing may be needed before ruling out syphilis.

    A positive RPR test result may mean that patient has syphilis.
    If the screening test is positive, the next step is to confirm the diagnosis with a more specific test for syphilis, such as MHA-TP.
    a false positive test may occur in the following conditions :
    HIV
    Lyme disease
    Certain types of pneumonia
    Malaria
    Systemic lupus erythematosus

    The MHA-TP is used to confirm an infection after RPR positive test for the syphilis bacteria (Trep. pallidum
    The MHA-TP test detects antibodies to the bacteria that cause syphilis and can be used to detect syphilis in all stages, except during the first 3 to 4 weeks. This test is not done on spinal fluid

      فاهم عليكـ وما قصرت وكلامكـ عين الصواب >>

      لكن ؛ المطلوب مني فحص الــ TPHA للفحص عن الـــ IgM

      فأتمنى الإفادهــ الــ procedure للــ TPHA ..

            يا اخي العزيز طالما تريد تبحث عن IgM ليش ما تستخدم طريقة ELISA طبعا هناك الان ONE STEP DEVICE TEST ممكن تستخدمها الله يوفقك
