    سؤالي / ما هي الـــ LE cell >> اللي أعرفه إنها حالة في الــ WBCs في الــ Neutrophil ؟؟


    وكيف يتم تحضيرها >> أقصد للكشف عنها تحت الـــ Microscope ؟؟

    LE cell هي نيتروفل ابتلعت كرية دم حمراء تفيد في تشخية حالة مرضية تسمى systemic lopus erythrimatosis
    الطريقة:
    تضع كمية من الدم في تيوب يحتوي على هيبارين ومعه كمية من الزجاج المكسر ويرج بقوة لمدة نصف ساعة وبعدها يعمل منه مسحة دموية ويصبغ باللشمان ويقرا تحت المحهر

        LE cells are neutrophils that contain in their cytoplasm large masses of depolymerized DNA from the nuclei of pollymorphonuclear leukocytes .
        The LE factor is present in the gamma globulin fraction of the serum protein of many patients with lupus Erythematosus . The LE factor has the characteristics of an antinuclear (altered nucleus) antibody .

        تأخذ عينة من الدم الوريدي تلاءم كمية الهيبارين ويضاف إليها قطع زجاجية صغيرة ترج الأنبوبة ربع ساعة تقريبا

        Clinical Implications
        1. the test is positive in 75% to 80% of patients with lupus erythematosus .
        2. positive results also are associated with .
        (a) Rheumatoid arthritis .
        (b) Scleroderma .
        (c) Blood -sensitivity reactions .
        (d) Hepatitis .
        3. A positive LE test should show frequent LE cells and bodies accompanied by rosettes . Rosette cells are rosette-shaped neutrophils grouped around a mass of nuclear protein; they are thought to be pre- LE cells .

        Interfering Factors
        Drugs that may cause positive test for LE cells
        1. Acetazolamide .
        2. Para-aminosalicylic acid (PAS) .
        3. Chlorothiazide .
        4. Chlorprothixene .
        5. Diphenythydantoin .
        6. Griseofulvin .
        7. Methydopa .
        8. Oral contraceptives .
        9. Penicillin .
        10. Phenylbutazone .
        11. Procainamide .
        12. Streptomycin .
        13. Sulfonamides .
        14. Tetracyclines .
