Rose bengal is a screening test only
i.e. it's positive result must be confermed by other serological test for brucella
It contain mixed antigens for brucella Abortus, Melitensis and Suis so it must be confermed to detect the type causing the infection
NOTE: If the test was requested by the doctor,The result for rose pengal will be as following
Rose Bengal for brucella : Negative
if it was positive
Rose Bengal for brucella : Positive
further serological tests are recommended for confermation
