قد تصاب المرأة الحامل بهذا المرض وهنا تسمى الحالة ب
congenital syphilis

فيوجد احتمالين

الاول هو الاجهاض

الثانى ان يبقى الجنين على قيد الحياة

السؤال هو

بعد الولادة هل يكون الطفل مصابا

وان كان مصابا فكيف تمت الاصابة

وان كان مصابا متى تظهر الاعراض

وما هى هذة الاعراض

A pregnant mother who has syphilis can spread the disease through the placenta to the unborn infant.
وان كان مصابا متى تظهر الاعراض

وما هى هذة الاعراض
Most affected infants are asymptomatic at birth and are identified only by routine prenatal screening.

Early signs of congenital syphilis (birth through 1st few months of life)
are characteristic skin lesions, lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly, failure to thrive, blood-stained nasal discharge, perioral fissures, meningitis, choroiditis, hydrocephalus, seizures, mental retardation, osteochondritis, and pseudoparalysis.

Late congenital syphilis usually does not manifest until after 2 yr of life Later signs are gummatous ulcers, periosteal lesions, paresis, tabes, optic atrophy, interstitial keratitis, sensorineural deafness, and dental deformities.

عن طريق الplacenta
بعضهم بعد الولادة الى عمر سنتين ويسمى early syphilis والغالبية تظهر الاعراض مؤخرا اي late stage
enlargement of the liver, spleen, skeletal abnormalities, pneumonia and a bullous skin disease known as pemphigus syphiliticus.

نعم يصاب الجنين وذلك من خلال المشية

لاتوجد الاعراض مباشرة بعد الولادة
تظهر الاعراض بعد اسابيع قليلة

والاعراض هى
skin rashes

anemia
jaundice
fever
swollen of liver and spleen

# Neurosyphilis - occurs in about 3-7% of untreated syphilis cases.
# Neurological problems
# Death
# Tabes dorsalis
# Artery disease
# Aneurysms
# Death if untreated
Treatment:
Syphilis is easy to cure in its early stages. A single intramuscular injection of penicillin
Additional doses are needed to treat someone who has had syphilis for longer than a year.
