Spills of blood and body fluids must be cleaned up as soon as they occur. Special care should be taken if broken glass is involved. The following procedure should be used:
Wear proper protective equipment (usually gloves and gown).
Place disinfectant/absorbent powder from spill kit on spill. (Alternate method is to place paper towels around edges of spill to keep it from spreading, flood spill with 10% bleach or other suitable disinfectant and place additional paper towels on top of spill to absorb liquid).
Using a scoop (provided in spill kits) or two pieces of stiff paper or cardboard, scrape up the absorbent powder (or paper towels) and any broken glass. NEVER attempt to pick up broken glass with your gloved hands!
Place material from spill in puncture resistant container.
When visible material from spill has been removed, clean surface with cleaner provided in spill kit or with soap and water containing bleach.

هناك العديد من الاسباب التى تؤدى الى رفض العينات فى المختبر وهى
1-Inadequate Sample
2-Sample collected in wrong container e.g blood glucose collected on EDTA
3-Sample collected from false site eg.collect sample from arm with cannula
4-Hemolysed Sample
5-Microbiological Sample collected in unsterile container
6- Stool Sample Contaminated with urine
7-colloted samples which is collected on tube with anticoagulant eg. blood sample on EDTA for CBC is collected
