which is the different between urea breath test and H.Pylori stool antigen test Dr.Moz

No the Urea breath test gives you titer while stool antigen only positive or negative ,,,both have the same sensitivity and specificity but stool antigen you are dealing with stool which can be loose and affect the results ....stool antigen we use it if the patient come to the lab and he wasnt fasting or child less than 12 or pregnant or lactating female in these cases you can't give the radio active tablet for the urea breath

the H.Pylori antibodies test can't differentiate between active H.pylori and treated H.pulori as the antibodies stay in the body for long time the doctor after treating h.Plyrori if he do the H.pylori antibody test it will be positive even the the H.pylori disappearso will give him another treatment while the H.pylori already disappear thjis can be dtetected by urea breath test telling the doctor that the organism diaddear and no need to give treatment for H.pyloriالمشاركة الأصلية بواسطة awsan مشاهدة المشاركة

Ok that is meen also the stool antigen is also avoid unnecssary treatment
which is good products for H pylori and which kit you are advice HpSA from meridain or other kit can give the same resultتعليق
