Cutanous mycosis(intro)dermatophytes
The second kind of medical fungi is :Cutaneous fungi(dermatophytes)
This kind of fungi is Keratinophilic because excretes
Keratinase enzyme
The dermatophytes fungi divide to :
1)Epidermophyton
Just one species of this genus is known :E.floccosum
This kind is specialized in skin and nail infection(indo_illness or infection)unlike superficial mycosis
2)Tricophyton :
The perfect state or telemorph is Artheroderma,it`s specialized in skin ,hair and nail infection
3)Microsporon:
Telemorph is Nannizzia(oldest name)
Specialized in skin and hiar
Each one of this fungi forms two types of spores macroconidia and microconidia, Epidermophytone form only macrospores but Trichophyton forms both the valume of macroconidia about (50-105µ)but anther kind(microconidia)(6-10 or 8-15 µ)
In Microsporon :spores are spiny the macroconidia `s valume (7-20x35-125 µ) but microconidia(2.5-4 µ)
Natural habitat:
Geophilic: means the fungus endemic in soil and transmit to human suddenly.(Mild infection)
Zoophilic: parasites on animal and possible transmit to human(Acute infection).
Anthropophilic:
Endemic in human`s skin and the mode of transmission from human to anther one ,this kind is chronic infection.
In addition:
That fungi can make many shapes of mycelium such as chains ,raquet ,spiral,pectinate hyphea, nodula and favic chandlier shape , rare we see all of that shapes in just one colony .
