[SIZE="4"]Opportunistic systemic disease(Hyphomysis)
Cryptococcasis :Cryptococcus neoformans
I`ll choose this kind of opportunistic fungi because is so important and famous genus .

The Teleomorph of that kind is : Fillobasidiella neoformans
Classification of it: Basidiomycetous yeast
Hepatitis: Pigeon droppings and eucaleptus.
The 1st target is lungs in healthy persons may be resists the disease but the compromised person ,fungs can cause the (menigitidis).
Clinical types:
1st case
ulmonary or cutanous
2nd case:CNS
And last case :disseminated
The symptoms of CNS case:vomit ,headache,exophthalmos and stave neck.
Crypto.neoformans divide to:
Var.grubii (serotype A)
Var.gattii(serotype B,C)
Var.neoformans (serotype D)
Note:how does it (fungus) infectant! By that serotypes
Var.grubii and var. neoformans due to (pigeon dropping)
Only var .gattii due to Eucolyptus
The Cryptococcus forms capsule: the wall of it (heleropoly saccharides)+(glucoronicacid)+(xylose,mannose & phosphomannose)
The capsule: we can see it by neg_stain or Indial ink.

This disease is so critical in Europe and the 4th one cause the Adis.
Treatment: Systemic antifungal:
AmphotericinB +5_Fluorocytosine(together)
Diagnosis: latlex agglutination
Elisa or culuture.
